am trying to rebuild mandriva development packages for stable, compilation fails with the following error:

I would suggest checking that the configuration of paths is correct, especially for includes and linking.

I guess the package builds on mandriva cooker so it should be correct, I believe I am missing something required or am using something to old but what....

It looks like it has located an incorrect Smoke header which does not have all the needed methods.

where can I find smoke? there is no package with smoke in its name or rather the smoke devel stuff is part of kdebindings4 which I cannot build because it fails

Smoke is part of kdebindings. Given how kdebindings is usually always in flux, I would suggest checking the kdebindings state in the 4.4 Branch.
