Hey,
I'm writing an app and would like to use KDE since it offers a lot of cool features beyond just vanilla Qt. But I couldn't find any info on building KDE apps for Windows. How easy is it? Is it a lot of hassle? You see the odd KDE app like PokerTH has Windows builds and so on, but I'm not sure how easy it is. Thanks |

I would recommend asking the KDE on Windows team for information such as this. Their mailing list is kde-windows@kde.org. I believe they use a scripted system to build dependencies, not sure how to set it up though.

There are some instructions on Techbase: http://techbase.kde.org/Getting_Started ... E4/Windows

Thanks, but I'm not asking about building KDE and the environment on Windows- just compiling a single app that uses KDE on Windows. The KDE apps I've tried on Windows seem to not need to install KDE, so I assume there's some easy way to build programs for KDE on Windows

In order to build a KDE app on Windows, you will need to build minimal frameworks, such as KDE Libs first. Simply follow the steps and stop once these have been built. You can skip KDE Base, etc.
