Adding applications to the menu

Hi.
I am using KDE on XP. I am running the K start menu as widget on the desktop screen, I would like to add entries on the office category for LibreOffice and one in the internet category for Firefox.
can somebody please advice on how to do so. I will appreciate it.

These application menu entries should have been included with Libreoffice and Firefox.

You may use "kmenuedit", which is accessible by right clicking on the "Start Menu" (called a Launcher in KDE) and selecting "Edit Applications".
