Hi everyone!
I hope this is the right place to post my question, in case, I apologize. [Avatar] Today I was going to give a look at simon, so I get simon 0.3 version from the website and installed it. I wanted to try it on a windows 7 64bit machine. The installation was fine (a part from an apparently blank page that just shows two radio buttons). After the installation, I started the ksimnd deamon, then simon. The first difficulties I found was... where do I get gpg for win, it is needed to get access for download ath the Scenarios repo. Solved that, if needed I can post here the link to the file i'm using, I started simon, and all went good, till I tried to connect to the deamon. I've seen that alot of topic here seem related to this, but I couldn't find one that could help me. The problem is just the usual "The remote host closed the connection". I tried removing the problem and the .kde folder in c:\Users\<user_name_here>\AppData, the reinstalled, but nothing. I tried also to change the static model form the voxforge one to the NYT one, nothing, I'm totally lost. Thanks in advance for the help and keep up the good job! |

Have you verified that a Firewall is not blocking inbound connections to Simon (ideally it will only be permitting it for localhost)

That was the first thing I tried, I enable the connection in the firewall, and also tried disabling the firewall for the local network too... i'm really out of ideas to try out

My guess is something wrong on the daemon side - i'll leave this to the Simon developer(s) to answer.
