Hello,
Installing KDE revealed me that some tools are available or are missing depending on the build flavor (msvc, mingw 32 or 64). However, I need some specific tools, so how would I know which is availabe or not? Could it be done a comparison chart? (I know there are many applications, but...) Thank you.

The tools which differ primarily concern the development of KDE I believe. Which tools are you interested in particular?

Hello,
I'm sorry to reply that late, but I wasn't noticed by the board. I just want to know which applications are available and which are not for every compiler (msvc vs. mingw, 64 vs 32 bits). So I could chose the most of KDE I need. For instance, Amarok works differnetly, depending on the compiler used, some features simply crash it.

Unfortunately I am not aware of any chart or list of the applications and their features which are available depending on the compiler and architecture in use. For general purposes I think msvc is recommended (applications run faster or something), but i'm not entirely sure.

Yeah, I would recommend the msvc build. Not only it runs fast, but it causes less crashes than it's MinGW counter parts.
Because I tried running KDE using MinGW and it gave me a lot of problems. |

Indeed, mingw build has a lot of problems, but some additional apps also... |
