I have been trying to install KDE on Windows XP - Service Pack 2
The installation stops part way as it cannot download mirrors.list I have taken a screenshot http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y420/Ceri_Leanne_Davies/kdeerror.png |

If you attempt using a web browser, are you able to access either of the mirrors.list or mirrors.lst files?

Yes I could manually download them, but it was because of server migration, all fixed now, but I have a new problem, after installing, my trackpad has stopped working, I think because of a conflict in drivers installed by kde vs my already installed synaptics driver, I have tried 3 times to re-install but alas my touchpad is broken with kde installed so system restore & no more kde until I can get it to work without breaking my trackpad

Well I've fixed my problem & thought I'd put the answer here just in case anyone else experiences the same problem, the solution was to re-install C++ redistributable after installing kde, why it makes a difference I don't know, but it works, I have kde installed & my trackpad works

Unusual. Good to see you found a solution to that though.
