Cannot install KDE for Windows

Fri Nov 02, 2012 7:41 am
Hi!

I'm not sure whether or not this is the right "forum" to raise this almost bug related question. Anyway; I cannot install KDE for Windows since http://www.winkde.org/pub/kde/ports/win32/mirrors.list is empty.

Who can fix it so I can install KDE on my Windows 7 machine?

I've tried adding mirrors manually through the installer, but it doesn't seem to work. The error message is all "garbled up" (it's overlapped by the "Download Server" text label), so I have no idea what it says.

Thanks in advance!

Try pointing the installer at http://download.kde.org/stable/4.8.0/win32/ which will get you KDE 4.8.0 on Windows.
I've poked the appropriate person to see if we can get this fixed.

It seems to have been fixed now, so it's working. Awsome!
