Hello together,
i tried to install the new amarok beta 3, but i wasn't sucessful :thumbs_down:

My first attempt was to install it with the KDE-Installer for windows. But it seems, that the latest KDE-Installer has not integrated the beta 3!?

My second attempt was to try this information http://mafia-server.net/amarok-nightly/README on how to install amarok nightly on windows. But there was no amarok to choose, only:
oggcodecs
kdelibs-msvc
kdepimlibs-msvc
kdebase-workspace-msvc
kdebase-runtime-msvc


Can anyone please help me.

Well, it's just the matter of time.
You'll have to wait to get the beta3 compiles and uploaded. Probably there were some issues concerning the building process, that's why packages aren't available yet. Please, be patient and check the same server from time to time. I'm sure it's only a temporary error. So, stay tuned

I already thought that it just takes some time, but i read some user who write that they have tested the beta 3 under windows....but maybe they are wrong

Is amarok usable in windows? ( i mean, I don't need to download almost 3gb of software to run it? )

I'm glad to tell you, that the beta3 is now available through the KDE-Windows-Installer (4.1.3). Now I'll give it a try...

Yes, it is. I use it as my primary media player.

Actually there are some bugs in it. Eg. you have to disable the OSD in 1.94 and it crashes when I press the "Stop" button (use "Pause" instead), and also it freezes when I try to seek in flac files.

well, please file the bugs of amarok in KDE's bugzilla under http://bugs.kde.org . Some easier things might get fixed, some bigger ones (like lastfm support) will probably need a while.
