I DL (downloaded) kdewin-installer-gui-1.0.0.exe then ran it ; I chose MinGW64 & a nearby mirror. I then got to the packages/applications menu then selected only Okular but a bunch of dependencies were to be also installed.
The process started and some minutes in, I'd say > 10, my AV (Anti-Virus) program was triggered on 2 programs from it, including the installer ; the other was allowed by default but the installer was blocked by default. I did not know how to allow the application to continue (blocked installer) for I messed with the program a couple minutes and when I left the AV window, both programs had icons reflecting they were allowed. Soon after the installer crashed. I ran the installer again, hoping there would be verification on what was properly installed and what wasn't done right would be fixed and what wasn't installed yet would be. I could not select Okular from the package list ; suggesting the installation was proper. Moreover, Okular icon was added to the Windows menu for KDE (KDE Release > Graphics > Okular (Document Viewer)) but when I click on it there's an error popup entitled with content text then windows give the crash notice for the program (which if a service is allowed will give an option to notify Microsoft, which I forbid (the service from running)). Now is there a way to have the program I want, in this case Okular, running properly without removing it and all its dependencies being > 100 Mb? Perhaps there's a repair mode? Or a manual way to checksum packages then see which doesn't fit then uninstall them. Also what about packages that wouldn't be installed installed at all during the program installation , likely part of dependencies? Is there a way to have them detected as as uninstalled? Or to flag them as so? I can install Okular_Standalone_4_win - A simple Okular Installer for windows(tm) users but I'd rather use it as part of KDE on Windows. Thank you kindly for your help Update 1: Changed title from to . |

I'm pretty sure your AV has blocked them as a false positive.
Do a fresh install of KDE but this time disable your AV, after the installation is finished re-enable it and if it does pop up with a program from being blocked, you can send a false positive report to the company of your AV program. |

My issue was also to not have all its dependencies, being > 100 Mb, downloaded again.
