I don't normally use Windows as it drives me crazy, but I have a sound recording application that I need Windows (8.1) for. I also have some instructions that I saved in Kate.
I would like to move the saved text file to the recording application's directory, but I can't find the saved file. Windows find file thing can't find it, and KDE's file finder can't find it either, and PCLinux's Konqueror Super User can't find it either, but it's really there--I can open the file in Kate on Windows, I just can't move it to where I want it, because I don't know where it is! (I have a bunch of KDE apps installed on Windows, but not the KDE complete system. Windows is tricky enough as it is!) Please copy the answer to my email address--I don't know if an answer to kdewindows mailing list notifies me. dmcgarrett (at) optonline (dot) net Thanx for your assistance--doug |

It is possible that Kate is recovering from a backup file?
But as far as I know backup files are not working in the Windows build. However why not "Save As" after you opened the file=? |
