Howdy all,
Forgive that I cannot seem to figure this out. I discovered KDE Connect while exploring "defanging/degoogling" my android phone as much as possible without root (have a Note phone and want all my note features). I want to be able to text from desktop like on phone and discovered the KDE Connect. I have KDE Connect installed on phone from F-droid but do not understand how install on Windows. The download page is a list of sentences with no clear link indicated Download file for each OS type. One that download page is says: Windows An early release of KDE Connect on Windows is available as well as binary packages. The link is on the words 'binary packages'. I don't know what binary packages mean and that page pulls up a page with a list of 8 files with one being an EXE. I found no instructions so I have no idea what to do with those files OR how to install on my Windows 10 laptop so I can connect with my android smartphone. HELP please. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE. UPDATE: I found the following page https://invent.kde.org/network/kdeconnect-kde So no official support for Windows version yet and I know nothing about "Craft" but will review when I have time to see if willing to give it a go and test run it. Any instructions on how you " can compile KDE Connect for Windows using Craft" is greatly appreciated. |
