Plasma desktop problem

airdrik Registered Member Posts 1854 Karma 5 OS	Plasma desktop problem Mon Dec 22, 2008 9:13 pm I'm running WinXP 64-bit, and have kde 4.1.3 freshly installed. Whenever I try and run plasma.exe, it shows an error dialog saying "URL cannot be listed. Desktop:/". After clicking "OK" the plasma desktop appears but is unresponsive. airdrik, proud to be a member of KDE forums since 2008-Dec.

Check to make sure you have the relevant kdebase-* packages ( runtime in particular ) KDE Sysadmin [img]content/bcooksley_sig.png[/img]

Brandon Moderator Posts 72 Karma 0 OS	RE: Plasma desktop problem Tue Dec 23, 2008 10:24 am the desktop kioslave wasn't yet ported at that time, but anyway it's just for the folderview applet, we still don't know why plasma doesn't work in 4.1.3 Brandon, proud to be a member of KDE forums since 2008-Oct.
