There is no Qt for DOS now, so KDE4 will not be available under DOS.
It is possible to run KDE4 in FreeDOS as soon as Qt provided a DOS version. Windows version is different from DOS, since Windows version of Qt uses Windows API for gui. Qt is capable of drawing gui when the host system does not have gui at all. But that is for linux and symbian, you may have to hack the code for that to work for DOS. |

Just curious: why? If this is just for fun, I can only wish you lots of luck and ask you to, please, document what you do to get this working; I know many people here may like to know. But if you, for example, really want to use KDE, don't want to pay MS-tax and depend on 1 particular DOS program, you may be able to solve your problem by installing Linux/KDE and using a DOS emulator like dosemu to run your app. Or you could even post a message in the Helping Hands forum trying to find someone who would be willing to rewrite your app for KDE. |
