I've found some links in config.txt file that point to kdepim package. But only kdepimlibs package is available for installation.
My goal is to get users both on Windows and Linux work on the same e-mail client - KMail. So, what am I to do for getting kmail under windows?

we don't have kdepim installable with the kdewin installer
kolab takes care of kdepim and you can try to download it from here http://files.kolab.org/clients/kontact- ... /20081113/

I tried this installer from kolab.org and it appears to be in German, is there a way to switch languages? Any help is appreciated. |

It is the same as with any KDE application - open the application, in the 'Hilfe'-menu search for 'Anwendungssprache umschalten ...'. Click it and change the 'Hauptsprache' from 'Deutsch' to 'Englisch (US)' then hit ok, and hit ok again on the note that you have to restart the app for the changes to come to effect. Close the application and restart it.

But why don't you have kdepim? I tried kdepim from Kolab, it works. I think it would be a good idea to include the ported and adopted pim packages into kdewin installer. And translate it into English (it is not absolutely English: some labels and menus stay in German. Are there some licensing problems? Can kdepim be compiled on Windows as it is, or it should be patched as Kolab do?

I don't know the details but it shouldn't be a licensing issue, afaik kolab uses the enterprise branch in the kde svn instead of trunk/official branches, so maybe we just don't have enough manpower to merge their patches to trunk

I'm looking all through websvn, and am not finding an "enterprise" branch.
Don't look back! (Or you might see the giants whose shoulders we stand on)

http://websvn.kde.org/branches/kdepim/e ... se/kdepim/ but I remember that there was a kdelibs enterprise branch too, maybe they use the offical 4.1 now
