How do I turn off or uninstall the server program from the command prompt screen? I believe this program is messing up the kde graphical interface and I can't figure out how to get to my desktop to uninstall this program.

Could you please define what "server program" do you mean? Apache server? MySQL server? some other which might have screwed up your KDE setup?
