Find KDE folder and start plasma.exe.

I think there may be a problem with the Australian Mirrors. I've done a complete install of 4.2.1 both at work and home and if I choose stable 4.2.1 everything installs except there is no plasma.exe. The plasma.dll is there however.
Starting fresh and choosing 4.2.0 works perfectly though. |

I would avoid the Australian mirrors for the time being, they never update frequently. I recommend on downloading at the winkde.org, it may be far away from Australia but it always have packages up to date. Anyway, another way to do it is to access the task manager first (Which is Ctrl+Alt+Del), Click on file -> New Task (Run...), find where your KDE directory is (C:KDE as default), go to the bin directory and double click on plasma. Press Ok and plasma should be loaded for you. I advice on keeping your task manager up, in case you want to close plasma down first then explorer and loading explorer up again. |

You can quit plasma from Konsole using:

I managed to find plasma.exe and other files apparently missing in one of the tar files last night. Not sure why that file didnt extract during installation.
I will take the advise to not use the AU mirror though Cheers |

uradox, which tar file was it... It's not installing plasma automatically here either...
Edit: okay, its what I thought it was, the kdebase-workspace collection, but the installer's not letting me install it...

You need to download the latest installer if you want kdebase-workspace to be installed. |
