I have KDE for windows installed on my desktop running Vista. I would like to say that I think its great, but a little buggy. One problem that I keep running into is when I click on any folder under places it comes back with an error that file:///C:\whatever is not found is there a way to fix this.

The directory exist. It works if I open dolphin and click on home. The problem only comes from when I click on try from places on the kde launcher.

I've been seeing similar behavior (using latest KDE on WinXP) - when I open dolphin using the default launcher, I get "unknown protocol: smb" even though it is trying to access c:\Documents and Settings\<username>. In ~\.kde\share\config\dolphinrc, General section, HomeUrl is set to "file://C:/Documents and Settings/<username>"
