I installed source code for KTorrent on windows platform and compiled from scratch. Started the application (Ktorrent). Wanted to create a .torrent file. The "create torrent" dialog box showed up with an empty text box for the file name. I opened the file selection dialog, selected a file and clicked "OK". The file selection dialog box closed and I'm back to the "create torrent" dialog. But the selected file name doesn't show up in the text box. As if the file selection didn't produce anything.
Did anyone see anything like this? I'm new to developing on windows. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. -- NewUsr |

Have you succeeded in doing the same thing in Linux? If not it could be a KTorrent problem, try asking in the KTorrent forum:

It works fine in Linux, but not windows. I'm using kdewin on Windows XP. The problem is in a widget called KUrlRequester, which is a combination of a Line Edit and a file selection box. Somehow the implementation of KUrlRequester is not correct in my configuration. My gut feeling (since it works OK with linux) is that there is something woring in the way I installed kde environment in Window XP.
Also, I noticed that "QDesigner" does not show any "KWidget" templates on the windows system while it shows everything in Linux. Were you able to have QDesigner show "KWidgets" (e.g. KUrlRequester widget) on windows system? Appreciate any help on this. Thanks. -- NewUsr |
