I'm new to this forum and hope you can help me. Please apologize for my english, it's not my native language.

I really like the software digikam, so I downloaded it using KDE for windows (4.4.1). Most of the software is running fine, but I encountered one problem:

When I use the Editor and try to safe the image as a jpeg digikam crashes. So a different idea came up: I tried to use a different editor, Paint.NET(right click on the image -> open with).

Of course the editor is not visible in digikam, so I used open with -> different

I typed in the path to my editor and it worked, the image opend in Paint.NET.

But the huge problem is: When I check the box "Always use this program for this file type" (I'm not sure if this is the correct expression - in German it's "Programm diesem Dateityp fest zuordnen") Digikam crashes.

So has anyone any idea what could cause both of the crashes?

I never used a Mailing List. Do I just write my problem to the email adress mentioned above?
Or do I have to register somewhere first?

Sending an email to that email address is all that is required.
