Hi,

I have Windows 7 64bit, I have installed KDE 4.5 for Windows, everything works fine but Dolphin

When I load Dolphin it freeze for 1-2 mins after evry opertion.

Anyone know how to solve this problem ?

Can you please elaborate on the freezing after every operation? Do you mean changing folder, right click on a file/folder, hovering over a file/folder or all of these?

When lunching Dolphin, Dolphin window opens and freeze for 2-3 min.

Then every time I try to click on Dolphin window it freeze again to 30 sec or so.

Here Dolphin load after 30 sec or so ... and then I could browse the dirs, but every 10 - 15 sec it freezes with no rezone. While trying to close Dolphin it froze again for 1 min or so...

As a wild guess: could you please run a cmd.exe window as administrator, then cd into the directory you installed KDE into (C:\Program Files (x86)\kde) and then try rerunning the following commands:

> bin\update-mime-database.exe %CD%\share\mime
> bin\kbuildsycoca.exe --noincremental

Another two guesses:
- You might have some virus scanner activated which can interfere with KDE (there have been some reports about such things, but not to many). If you can, try turning them off completely and see if the problem vanishes.
- Also, you seem to have a lot of drives on your computer. While that in itself shouldn't be a problem (I sometimes have no more drive letters available myself ) there could be problems when some CD-drives are not closed etc. - also this is just a hint where you can look.
If you find something more reproducable (kio_file e.g. should be loaded also in kate and konqueror, so you should see similar freezes there), maybe we can narrow it down a bit more.
