I've installed KDE , followed the steps but i cant find the program to use any of the applications . I do not know what to do , or what to install . Please someone help me . I have no idea on what to do i really don't . The files are on my computer that i know because when i search for the applications that i downloaded there all there .

1st - are you running kde under windows or linux? 2nd - what steps are you referring to that you followed? 3rd - why did you post here under Amarok? |

I'm running KDE under windows .
I got the steps from http://windows.kde.org/download.php . i use the KDE installer screenshots . I didn't mean to post it on Amarok i meant to post it on KDE software , click the wrong link . |

did you follow the "Testing your installation" from the instructions you used? such as:
Next time try and be a bit more descriptive of you problem in the subject line something like "installed in Windows but can't find apps" |

I went to lskat.exe it didnt work it said The program can't start because MSVCP100.dll is missing from computer . And to reinstall the program . I couldnt find KDE 4 in my start menu . Should i go a head and reinstall KDE ?

It would appear that your Windows install is missing a .dll file

Alternatively, you can try running a different compiler version (KDE on Windows is built with a couple of different compilers, different compilers result in different bugs). Use the installer to remove the previously-installed KDE, then manually delete the KDE install directory. Then rerun the installer and on the 3rd page of the installer, pick a different compiler mode (in my experience the MinGW4 one has run better than the others - for now at least).
