Hi!

I'm using Kile on Windows since a few days. But I can't get it localized in German. I've used the installer (from http://windows.kde.org/) and selected the german language package. But Kile is in english.

Any hints for me?

Thx!

Since most KDE packages take their language from the KDE environmental variables, I suspect that this is either a bug if you have set German as the default KDE language or because of a missing element in your KDE installation which would allow you to set the default language.

Thanks for the answer.

Maybe it is as simple as that: Where can I set the default language for my KDE installation?

Not sure. Is there a System settings option with Regional/Langauge?

I gave it a try with
Code: Select all
[Locale]
Country=de
Language=de
in the kdeglobals file in the directory %APPDATA%\.kde\share\config\. But it still won't work. I'm pretty sure I've installed the german language pack. But I'll check this weekend.

It seems like everything is installed correctly (including the german language pack) but there's still no german GUI :(

the same problem here. I'm using KDE for windows with windows 7. I installed KDE for windows with german languagepackages - other programms are in german, but kile not.
