office suites on Windows?

Thu Jun 09, 2011 5:55 am
Hello,

Updating my KDE on Mageia, I've found here http://userbase.kde.org/KOffice/Download#Windows that some office suites should be available for Windows too.

Is this right?
The latest installer have no office packages in the stable repository, AFAIK.

What is the status of these?

Thanks,
Mike

You can get LibreOffice, not a KDE product, directly; Calligra is due for release this autumn and should be available for Windows.

Thanks, I've been using OpenOffice for years as main office suite, now I moved to LibreOffice and I'm really happy with it.
I've just wanted to try Calligra too, I am courious to watch it in action :).
I'm pretty impressed by the open software offensive these days :D.
I love KDE and I would happily use it on top of Windows too.
