Hi,... new chapter in my adventure of getting KDE to compile using Homebrew on OSX.
I've updated all of the recipes today to build 4.10.2 https://github.com/somekool/homebrew/co ... 459a2d9158 I had trouble with Soprano, and asked on their mailing list. they told me dbus was not working on the Mac so I've successfully updated my recipe to install soprano without dbus https://github.com/somekool/homebrew/co ... 81773ef95c but this is not of much help... kdelibs still requires strigi and libdbusmenu-qt which both requires dbus would anyone give this a try to let me know if they can provide more info about dbus on osx ? https://github.com/somekool/homebrew |

KDE relies on D-Bus functionality extensively for it's operation, it is not an optional dependency.
Did the Soprano folks offer any details as to how "D-Bus did not work on OSX"? To the best of my knowledge, many have been able to compile and install it without problems, through MacPorts for instance (looking at their build system may help you here).

Actually, dbus compiles and installs fine using homebrew on osx as well.
but some how Soprano cannot find it. could be just a CMake issue. I'll try again enabling dbus and see if I can get CMake to find it and post back my findings. |

CMake may not be configured to look into the appropriate install prefix by default.
Try setting the environment variable "CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH" to the install prefix you used for D-Bus.
