How do I install kde with homebrew?

Sat Apr 20, 2013 2:22 pm
I have already installed the standard version of homebrew through the command:
Code: Select all
ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.github.com/mxcl/homebrew/go)"

Now the problem is I want to install KDE 4 through the somekool/kde_on_brew brew branch. Which steps do I have to do in order to be able to install KDE from this source? I triedy running a
Code: Select all
brew tap
on the somekool github but it tells me:

Code: Select all
fatal: https://github.com/somekool/kde_on_brew/homebrew-master/info/refs?service=git-upload-pack not found: did you run git update-server-info on the server?

TIA

This looks more like a general Homebrew error i'm afraid - it comes from Git, but the error is generated by an incorrect invocation by Homebrew. I would recommend asking through their support mechanisms.
