I'm getting a bunch of these in Console when trying to launch Krita on El Capitan which I'm running on an aging 2011 MacBook Pro:

So I tried removing the quarantine attribute from /Applications/krita.app/:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine krita.app/

And now it starts up! This problem might be specific to my geriatric configuration, but maybe this will help someone.
