I am a long time okular used on various linux/bsd flavours but am new to osx so bear with me
I installed all via the instructions and install script found at https://invent.kde.org/packaging/homebrew-kde yesterday. The programme generally works, although of course some of the keys conflict with some of the mac/amethyst keybindings, but that's not a large issue. The only thing that doesn't work, is the opening of files via the commandline or system dialog(s). For example. If I open a terminal and type
It does either open the programme, or go to an existing programme window, but it does not open the file. The same behaviour occurs when I open a file via Finder or via a programme such as zotero. Based on this, I suspect that okular is not receiving the filename from the os correctly somehow. I do not get an error, and nothing is shown in any obvious /var/log logfile. I have not built from source to I am not sure where to look for errors or where to log the behaviour, so have no clue as to what the actual problem might be. Any hints would be appreciated. |

It's most likely because ocular doesn't implement the fileOpen event, which is specific to macOS. I checked their code and don't see it.
