KDE Mac ports binaries are installing ALL the files included in KDE after compilation.
A lot of them are absolutely unnecessary to get KDE running, so it waste more than 1 Gb for nothing on the hard drive. For example, QT 4 has all the files even those necessary only to develop applications or to compil them, while a end user will only need the binary to run the softwares ! I think it will be time to clean-up seriously your packages for the next update. OK hard drive are more and more big, but it is not a reason to waste the space uselessly. |
