Hi,
I have been desperately trying to get Kate editor to work on my mac. I successfully managed to install kdesdk4 by following the instructions given for MacPorts. However, when I try to run the following command: launchctl load /Library/LaunchAgents/org.freedesktop.dbus-session.plist the terminal prompts this message: nothing found to load I then executed: sudo chown -R $USER ~/Library/Preferences/KDE using my user name and that seemed to be fine. When I try to go ahead and launch Kate using the command given below, it is about to start before crashing: open /Applications/Macports/KDE4/kate.app I tried launching other KDE applications too without much success. It would be very thankful if I could get some help here. Thank you very much for your time. |

I found a work around to fix the dbus command:
launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchAgents/org.freedesktop.dbus-session.plist I finally have Kate working Still it seems to crash while using it. I wonder whats causing this to happen. |
