Hi,
I wanted to install Kopete on my girlfriends Mac, because it seems to be the only multi-protocol-messenger that supports QQ (and the only alternative to the official QQ client on Mac), since Pidgin discontinued the support so that Adium stopped working, too. Unfortunately, Kopete does not work. The main problem is that the preferences are not working, I just get an empty canvas with "ok" and "cancel" on the bottom. When I try to set up the account by clicking on "click here to add accounts" in the main window, I do get the proper dialog, but unfortunately there are no protocols to select from. Furthermore it appears I can't restore the program window once minimized to tray. I guess I could turn off the tray in the preferences, if they worked... Is this a problem that can be solved by someone without advanced programming skills? Edit: I'm using macports, the KDE version is 4.6.2. |

It seems that Kopete can't find it's plugins. Please try running "kbuildsycoca4" to correct this, and ensure that macports installed all the needed plugins if it seperates them out.
