Hello. I'm brand new to Kubuntu, and I like it a lot. I don't know if this is the right forum in which to post this question.

After installing Kubuntu 11.10, I began to download and install the upgrades. I went to bed, letting this process go forward. When I work up this morning, I found that the process was stuck at the install stage at 42 percent. Clicking on everything did nothing. I couldn't get out of the update process. I had no choice but to cold boot the system. When I tried to re-start the update process, I'm told that there is another application seems to be using the package system and I must close that instance before proceeding. I have no idea how to do this. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |
