Having some trouble getting kde working in sabayon and the sabayon forums are simply telling me to do things I have already tried, when I type startx into the command line I get three terminals instead of kde, xorg-server, kdm and kde are all installed And kdm is specified in rc.conf/xdm.


Anyone have any ideas as to what's going wrong?

In KDM, please make sure the appropriate session type is selected - it should be KDE instead of "Failsafe" or something similar.
Also, check to make sure you do not have a ~/.xinitrc file which is interfering.
