How do I install kde
I'm using archlinux i686. I've restarted my computer about 100 times today(not exaggerating), trying to get KDE. I've edited and unedited the rc.conf, inittab, .xinitrc . I just don't know what to do. When I restart after editing the files and installing KDE it goes to the login screen, everything is frozen, I can't move my mouse/type anything. I installed everything correctly, but the problem is that I'm retarded and I don't know which files I'm supposed to edit. I have even made a list of which ones I've already edited(but just gave up after 38 tries). Someone please tell me how to install KDE, I've done it once before but it's not working anymore. |

Arch wiki has rather comprehensive article about installing KDE. Have you tried following it?
This freeze looks like X issue. What graphics hardware do you use? Try installing openbox or icewm and see if X is working on your computer.

Great way to ask for help. Don't expect to get any more. |

I would suggest you post on the Arch forums as KDE installation and packaging is distro specific.
Another suggestion might be to start from scratch |
