Power Management using Systemd  Topic is solved

Mon Aug 27, 2012 8:19 pm
I recently switched to systemd which uses systemctl (reboot, suspend, halt) etc.. However, KDE does not use those commands so clicking on any of the power management icons simply logs me out. Is there any way I configure it to behave properly?

Edit:
Also, is there any tips/tutorials are using systemd with KDE?

Solution:
Installing the systemd-sysvcompat package (Arch) fixes the problem.

Just as a further note - the shutdown or restart commands are issued by the display manager (usually KDM, although others are supported). For KDM, the commands used can be configured in it's configuration file (which is system wide).
