Hello,

I'm having serious trouble with the recent distro upgrade.

HW: Lenovo W510 laptop with docking station and two external monitors.

- KDE Control Module "Display Configuration". I don't have a problem with the GUI, and it stores my settings as it should. But when I reboot, the system reverts to the initial display settings (Cloned desktop, both with resolution of the smallest of my two monitors).
- KDE Daemon: It crashes every time I reboot, with a crash message when I log in -> report bug dialog
- kded: I can't report bugs using the in-built system because it says "Failed to communicate with kded. make sure it's running" when I try to log in to the bug system.
- Reboot: Sometimes when I try to reboot it fails to close all processes (it says so when I press F7 during shutdown), and hangs (have to do hard reboot).

If anyone has any insight on any of these problem they would be much appreciated.

Note: I realize this may not be the right forum for this post, any suggestions would also be appreciated.
Also Note: All of the above worked fine on Kubuntu 12.10.
Also Note: Everything seems ok when I don't use the docking station

Can you generate a backtrace for the KDE Daemon crash please, using the Developer Information tab in the Crash Assistant?
