kubuntu and touchscreen

Wed Jul 30, 2014 4:38 pm
I'm running kubuntu last version on a wetab device tablet and everything is working fine except that i'm not able to double click icons on the touchscreen, only first tapping is detected.I was once able to do it.I have a second tablet where i can do that with no problem.I guess i have changed some settings doing something wrong, but i have no idea.Do you have some clue on how to solve this issue?Thank you very much.

Not really sure where this belongs. I moved it to "Linux", assuming that the issue is Kubuntu-specific.

Do you know which input driver is being used to operate the touchscreen device which is not working? Also, have you tried using xev to verify whether the multiple taps are being registered?

your installation is not complete,maybe.
try this : uninstall/remove your kubuntu now, and install again with latest version of kubuntu.
i hope can help your problem.

Hello guys,

same for me.

Multi touch not working on 14.04. Tried a few things, but no success.

Xinput is just recognizing the first touch, have 2 touch screens, ASUS Notebook and external Iiyama touch screen running on HDMI and USB, both just single touch working.

Greetings
