Hello,

I installed Plasma 5 (from the repo's) on my Arch Linux box. Everything was fine except the lock screen locked me out of my session. I read somewhere that /usr/lib/kcheckpass needed to be setuid root. I set the bit it and now I can let my computer go to sleep.
There is, however, still a problem: the screenlocker doesn't seem to do anything when I ask it to start a new session (as a different user). Is there a way to make it work ? Everything works as expected using Kickoff. I'm using SDDM as a DM, if that's related.

Thanks,
Louis

Did you find a solution for this? I am having the same issue.

I found why I could not authenticate (wrong permissions in a polkit-related folder) but not why I can't start a new session.
