I am using Debian testing in two amd64 systems, both had some issues after today's dist-upgrade.
System settings does not launch and many launchers and icons on desktop are missing.
This is a snapshot of what I get when attempting to launch System Settings: http://i.imgur.com/RQAOK4c.png
I downgraded package to earlier version in stable, it launched but did not work properly, my dual monitor setup was not recognized.
I dist-upgraded again and could not launch.
This is a known issue facing Debian KDE users in the more advanced (unstable) distros.
How can I fix these problems?
Please help.

Wait and see, that's testing.
It's nearly the same at my system, usefull is to recognize the commands for the shell. Most programms has a cli.

I submitted bug already, if you want to see it:

Maintainer answered along same lines.
Good to know that it is not my fault.
Cheers.
