I am using two computers on same architecture amd64, and the testing branch of Debian.
Today, July 30th., there was a massive upgrade of KDE, I used apt-get autoremove after it and it completely crashed both my computers.
Nothing works, cannot access bookmarks in iceweasel, context menu does not work, there is no title bar, so can only close apps via ksysguard, cannot drag so windows get superposed, etc. Desktop is completely unusable.
System settings is inaccessible, complete catastrophe.

maybe will help you.

Thanks for answer.
This helped a little, but desktop is still useless in Debian testing.
Maintainers blame this on packages stuck in unstable, which have not migrated to testing yet.
I have to use xfce to get a working desktop, not a bad idea to have two (or more) desktops.
Question: after transition from KDE4 to 5 is completed, should I leave symlink in place?
