if you have intel graphics
- https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/intel_graphics
- https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=208252

post your cpu, gpu and gpu drivers

also the xorg logs /var/log/Xorg.0.log /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old

moved to Operating Systems Specific -> Linux

do you have an alternative/backup window manager like icewm, if so can you log in

ps - Gentoo is very Gentoo'ish so you may wish to post there

Can you log in on the CL? Is everything mounted properly? What does df say? Have you tried another DE?
