update fails

Hi to all, this is my first venture into the world of Linux. Please forgive me if this question is not in the right forum.
I am running a live usb version of KDE Plasma. I try to do updates and get the message: could not satisfy dependencies: unable to satisfy dependency 'libelf=0.178-2' required by elfutils unable to satisfy dependency 'elfutils' required by binutils What is wrong? Can someone help please? |

You can not update a live usb version, only an installed one. Live versions are images written to an USB medium, similar to a CD, you would have to update the image for this to work.
FWIW: please always specify your exact plasma version and distribution when asking questions on this forum.
