Hi,
I'm wonder is there a way to directly open some `/dev/tty...` for read and write? I know that I could use `minicom`, `screen` or ... there are few others apps. The clue is I don't wont to use them, extra key bindings, problems with terminal types, not supporting for UTF-8 or colors etc. I'm looking for some solution: just setup some serial port by calling ex `setty ...` and then some set kind of `open(/dev/ttyX, rw);` or something like
just open two splits, in one we have `cat /dev/ttyX` and in another `cat > /dev/ttyX` but this is not how we usually use terminal and some times doesn't work maybe there is some some sort of python script that will push data between serial device and console, without interpreting them, that could replace `/bin/bash` in profile command. |

I moved your topic as this question is not Konsole related, strictly speaking not KDE specific either
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
