None of the Ubuntu based KDE distros will get past the install screen, Intel (R) core (TM) Duo processor , clock speed 200 GHZ memory 2048 MB speed 667 MHZ DDR SDRAM It had KDE Mint previously and it ran fine. I would appreciate any help Thanks Geoff

Not really specific to KDE, don't you think? is this a 32-bit or a 64-bit computer? if it is a 32-bit one as I suspect, this is the source of your problem, as there is no Ubuntu based Distro that provides 32-bit images other than Linux Mint.
How about staying with Mint and upgrade your Plasma installation on it? It is after all Ubuntu based, so you should be able to upgrade from the Kubuntu sources.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

I am sorry but I should have written Intel (R) core (TM) 2 Duo processor which is supposed to handle 64 bit Thanks for your help Geoff

Trying to load all the latest Kubuntu Kde Neon Netrunner Kaos ,I wiil try and find a 32bit KDE distro Thanks Geoff
