Hello there,
I have been having odd issue with KDE. I used KDD 5.20 on Debian 11 for few months now in wayland session. Now I switched to X session only to find that shortcut for paste is not working. shift+ins is working, and in console ctrl+shift+v is also functional. But elsewhere not. Mouse copy paste is working fine as well. When I checked in xev I got this output for ctrl+v
When looking with xev, it shows that when using ctr+v it isn't detecting v as being pressed, rather something is suppressing it. I have tried to remove and place it back but same effect. I am at loss as to why it is happening. if anyone knows reason or where to look please reply. Also, if it could be solved by just copying over shortcut settings from new user I could do that as well, but I am unsure which configuration files to copy over. But I would be more interested in reason of this issue. Thanks in advance. |

I have deleted khotkeysrc and kglobalshortcutsrc from .config and let KDE generate default one. This solve the issue, I lost my custom shortcuts, didn't try save them before hand, as I didn't had many, anyway.
