[SOLVED] Installing on Ubuntu

Hi I've been using Ubuntu Ibex for awhile. Today I downloaded all the source packages for KDE 4.2 and used 'cmake' ton install them. Now at the login window I tried finding KDE under the sessions menu. It wasnt there what do I do? Please help:'(

Why don't you use the KDE 4.2 packages from http://www.kubuntu.org/news/kde-4.2?
