I think I know this issue ( does Google Earth cause the system to hardlock? )

A fix is available ( but only for Google Earth / OpenGL app causing hardlock )

OpenGL is the framework most 3D applications are built upon.

Instructions are available to apply the fix here: intel-graphics-vs- ... l#pid43351

Hi

Done

I will have to re-load google earth as it was not working.

In the control panel
Under display
Size and Orientation
It says
Your X server is using the RandR extension at version 1.2 or greater that does not have any configuration yet?

Is there any more to be done?

Thanks

Size & Orientation does not work in KDE 3.x. If you have updated to that repository, then you should no longer be experiencing Hard Locks, once you have rebooted.
