Hi, I have some problem with solid on my macbook pro. First, it ajust my keyboard backlight instead of my screen backlight. It block pommed key (f1-f2 for brightness, f3-f5 for sound and f8-f10 for keyboard backlight). Automount also fail (but show device). Hal/solid manage my touchpad and I don't want that, I want to use xorg.conf (HAL refuse to accept my settings, even if I made rules file). I use KDE-branchSVN compiled myself.
How can I disable solid or correct it? *Everything work as expected if I don't load KDE.

Keyboard Backlight being changed instead is a bug in Powerdevil more likely. It should allow you to select the appropriate backlight device to change. ( Or to map hotkeys for them ) since Solid wraps each device available and specifies a type. Powerdevil is simply choosing the first one it finds I am guessing.
As far as I am aware HAL and Solid do not tamper with the Touchpad. The touchpad is under the Sole control of X. Automount failing is probably related to it being unable to communicate with HAL in the required manner, or UDev not being set up correctly.

Not anymore, now HAL try to control it, I tracked it down, it really does, some rules file for touchpad are present in hal dir.
(and yes I tried to disable that one)

Any particular reason why you want to disable this? The contents of xorg.conf should override this file.
For the backlight issue, please file a bug if none exists.

Try moving that rule out of the HAL directory, some place else. It only affects the use of touchpads by the look of it.
Just interested: why do you need to override this file?

Because it refuse to let me enable two finger scrolling, even if I edit it (as you can see, I did). Right click is also 3 finger, and I prefer 2 finger (and 3 finger for middle button).

If, even after editing that file and restarting HAL the changes in xorg.conf are still being overriden, then it is likely that something else, other than HAL is to blame.
