Ever since I installed KDE 4.2.1 in Mandriva 2009.0 x86_64 I've been getting this:
I'm new to this forum and not sure if this should be posted here? Let me know either way. Also let me know if any additional info needed. Actually looks like something needs to be done in Mandriva...
Thanks,

This is because Urpmi is not treating the newer version KDE 4.2 packages as updates. Try marking the KDE 4.2 repo as an updates repository.

In order to bcooksleys post.
Run
to marking them as update medias. Also try to use
That will ensure that only updates Medias will be used. That'a lot saver that without the '--update' option! Regards, TeaAge

If there are any "Repository priority" lists, please make sure that the KDE 4.2 repositories are higher than the others.

Good question and I don't know answer. I did use 'drakrpm-edit-media --expert' which has arrow keys and moved kde repos to the top but that didn't change anything. Also wondering why I seem to be only person getting this?

Unfortunately I do not know much about urpmi. However the folks at the Mandriva forums will hopefully have more knowledge on its inner workings, and should be able to sort you out with a solution.

So far I've gotten no reply on the Mandriva Forum asking the same question. Thanks for your help and time. Much appreciated. May try another forum in a day or two.

Can you try to install those two packages separately?

Thanks for the reply. Do appreciate your time. Results:
Also after my last post I did get response on Mandriva forum: http://forum.mandriva.com/viewtopic.php?p=657611#657611 OT: I will say in my short time on this KDE Forum I would say good forum. I've been using KDE since KDE 3.5 something or other since Fedora Core 4 [started linux in FC 3] but this is my first time using the KDE forums. I like KDE. Gnome ain't bad. One of My brothers prefers it but I like KDE.
