I am using Ubuntu 8.04 with Gnome.About a week ago I created a new user and loaded Kde on it.Very nice too.But I have 1 problem.I cannot add or remove any programs even by entering my root password. Is there a way to load these programs ?:-(

This is because Ubuntu has broken the Linux distribution tradition, so you will need to ensure that your new user is in the same groups as your old user, in order to perform administrative functions.
