What is $KDEDIR on Slackware

Sat Apr 25, 2009 6:54 pm
Hi all,

First post here! I was quite resistent to moving to KDE 4.x but when I upgraded my Slackware12.2 to -current, the upgrade procedure uninstalled KDE 3.5.10 (which I was quite fond of) and installed KDE 4.2.2. So I decided to give it another try and I have been quite content since.

I started trying out widgets and plasmoids and some of them ask to compile with:
Code: Select all
cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=($KDEDIR)

But, since KDE installation was automated I don't know what is $KDEDIR and, for that matter, any other variables like $QTDIR. Some questions:
1) What are the system variables needed by KDE?
2) Where can I set / check them in Slackware-current?

Thanks in advance!

Huh, what happened to my reply? Anyway, I wrote something along the line of
"Not 100 % sure, but can't you just do something like 'echo $KDEDIR'? ;)"
